重砂，（heavy concentrate）是相对密度较大、物理和化学性质比较稳定的矿物（如金红石、锆石、独居石、铬尖晶石类、磁铁矿、金、铂、黑钨矿、钽铁矿、铌铁矿、褐钇铌矿、锡石等）颗粒所组成的松散聚合体。因其相对密度较大、呈砂状，故名重砂。
