鄙（拼音：bǐ）是汉语通用规范一级汉字（常用字）。鄙初文作“啚”，最早见于商代的甲骨文中，古字形上部像城市，下部为城外的粮仓。到小篆时添加了义符“邑”。从字形上看，“鄙”的造字本义就是指城外的粮仓或者农田。鄙字又指公卿大夫的封地、食邑，一般在郊外的远处，因而鄙也指边远之地，引申为粗俗、浅薄之义。 （基本信息主要来源：《新华写字字典 第2版》 、汉典网 ）
