逸搏是指当窦房结兴奋性降低或停搏时，隐性起搏点的舒张期除极有机会达到阈电位，从而发生激动，带动整个心脏。 被动异位心律为生理性保护机制，其本身不需要治疗，如果心室率太慢而产生症状或低血压者，需提高心室率，给予治疗。当上级节律点激动形成发生障碍或传导延迟时，低位节律点被动地发放激动，形成逸搏。逸搏连续发放三次以上，称为逸搏性心律。逸搏或逸搏性心律是一种生理性保护机制。
