透水，又称突水。采掘工作面与矿山地表水或地下水沟通时突出发生大量涌水，淹没井巷的事故。在矿山水灾中，以透水事故发生最多，后果最严重。为了防止矿井发生透水事故，应遵循“有疑必探，先探后掘”的原则，采取“查、探、堵、放”的综合防水措施。
