选择关税是对同一种进口商品，同时规定从价税和从量税两种税率，征税时选择其中的一种进行课征的关税。一般情况下，在两种税率中，选择税额较大的征收; 特殊情况下，如当时迫切需要多进口某种商品，也可按税额较小的征收。英国、澳大利亚、日本等国对某些进口商品采用选择关税制。
