逆选择，是指投保人所作的不利于保险人的合同选择。投保人在投保时往往从自身利益出发，作不利于保险人利益的合同选择，使其承担过大风险。在人身保险中逆选择表现为，有病者要求参加健康保险，职业危险性大的人要求参加意外伤害保险，死亡率高的人要求参加死亡保险等。故保险人对此种逆选择规律，均采取相应措施防范。
