连梁指在剪力墙结构和框架—剪力墙结构中，连接墙肢与墙肢，在墙肢平面内相连的梁。连梁一般具有跨度小、截面大，与连梁相连的墙体刚度又很大等特点。一般在风荷载和地震作用下 ,连梁的内力往往很大。在内力计算中一般对连梁进行刚度折减，但是进行位移计算时一般不做折减。通俗点说。连梁是两个墙（剪力墙）中间有洞口或断开，但受力要求又要连在一起而增加的受力构件。在连梁下面一般是有洞口的。墙肢指的是剪力墙向两个不同方向延伸的部分，也就是我们俗称的墙体。
