中国《管子》中的货币价格理论。“轻重”一词，最早见于单穆公反对周景王铸大钱,并提出“量资币,权轻重”之说）到战国时,墨家亦有“刀轻”、“刀重”的论述（《墨子·经说下》）。但这些论述，都很简略。《管子》书有《轻重》19篇（3篇亡佚，今存16篇）,主要讲商品流通、货币流通和价格的关系，对这些关系有比较系统的论述。因而后人凡是讲到轻重理论或轻重之学，都是指《管子》的轻重理论。
