跳大绳是东北民间活动的一项体育项目，特别是在冬季里，户外活动项目较少的时候，跳大绳就是比较好的体育运动了。近年来，冬天在户外跳大绳已成为冰雪旅游的比赛项目，也是一种最好的健身活动。有的学校还把跳大绳活动搬到了体育课上，成为体育活动的一项主要内容。
