路况调查【road condition survey】指的是对现有道路路况的调查、检验、评价并登记储存等工作的全过程。 实时路况调查，是为适应当今城市道路拥堵现象提出的一个新概念，是城市智能交通里面的内容之一。它可以分为静态实时路况调查和动态实时路况调查两种，前者是基于固定在路上、路旁的监测设备来获得该点道路通行状况；而动态实时路况调查则是将定位设备安装在车上实时地、动态地对其所经过的路段的通行情况的调查系统。
