超补偿是指过多的补偿，为心理学术语。是指，一个真正的或幻想的躯体或者心理的缺陷，可通过过度代偿而得到超乎寻常的纠正。也就是一个人在身体方面或心理方面的缺欠引 起过度的补偿行为或“矫枉过正”。这种缺欠可以是实际存在着的，也可以只是一种想像；补偿过程可以是无 意识的，也可以是有意进行的。过度补偿如发展到极端，可能使人目空一 切、自命不凡，甚至发展成为“夸大妄想”。
但化学防治有明显的缺陷,如会产生鼠类拒食性和耐药性,造成环境污染及非靶标动物的二次中毒,种群的超补偿(over compensation)效应会降低化学防治的效果等。
