资本市场又称长期资金市场，是金融市场的重要组成部分。作为与货币市场相对应的理论概念，资本市场通常是指进行中长期（一年以上）资金（或资产）借贷融通活动的市场。由于在长期金融活动中，涉及资金期限长、风险大，具有长期较稳定收入，类似于资本投入，故称之为资本市场。
