角度变形又称“角度变异”、“角度误差”，是衡量地图投影角度变形的数量指标。即投影面上某点上两个方向线所夹的角u′与地球椭球面上相应角度u之差，常以u′-u表示。在投影图上，某点的角度变形随方向不同而变化，在同一点上可从零变到最大角度变形，常以w表示。参看“最大角度变形”。
在县级土地利用规划用图中，常涉及到跨投影带的地图拼接问题，一般使用邻带转换法实现跨带区域的地图显示，该方法在实际应用中存在面积和角度变形相对较大的不足。
