被试（subject），心理学实验或心理测验中接受实验或测试的对象。可产生或显示被观察的心理现象或行为特质。在心理学实验中，分为人和动物两大类。根据研究目的的不同，可是正常成人、中学生、小学生、残疾人、心理疾病患者等，也可是鼠、猴、鸡、狗等动物。被试的任务是根据主试的要求认真完成一定的作业。须符台一定的条件，严格按实验要求或测验的指导语去做。这样才能保证实验顺利及实验结果可靠。
