荞麦叶是荞麦是蓼科荞麦属作物荞麦的叶子。荞麦，学名Fagopyrum Mill，一年生草本双子叶植物纲，蓼科栽培植物。彝族称为“额”，古代亦写成莜麦或乌麦。四川省习惯叫荞子。又叫“胡荞麦”。
目的：研究荞麦叶总黄酮(TFBL)对实验性糖尿病高脂血症大鼠的降血糖、血脂作用及其机制。
AIM: to study the effects and mechanism of total flavones of buckwheat leaf (TFBL) in lowering serum glucose, lipid and anti lipid peroxidation in diabetic and hyperlipidemia rats.
结果：荞麦茎中铜、铁、锌、锶、硒、锰、砷、镉均高于叶和花；荞麦叶中钙、铅、汞明显高于茎和花。
Results: The contents of Cu, Fe, Zn, Sr, se, Mn, As, Cd in stems were all higher than those in leaves and flowers of buckwheat.
