舌咽神经痛是一种出现于舌咽神经分部区域的阵发性剧痛。疼痛性质与三叉神经痛很相似，亦分为原发性和继发性两大类。疼痛发生在一侧舌根、咽喉、扁桃体、耳根部及下颌后部，有时以耳根部疼痛为主要表现。男性病例多于女性病例，通常在40岁以后发病。
