是坐骨神经的两大终支之一，由腰4～5和骶1～2脊神经前支的纤维组成。自坐骨神经分出后，沿股二头肌内侧缘行向外下，绕腓骨颈穿腓骨长肌近侧端达腓骨颈前面，分为腓前和腓深神经。其肌支支配小腿肌外侧群，前群及足背肌；皮支布于小腿外侧面、足背和趾背的皮肤。
(2)腓总神经(common peroneal nerve)(L4~S2):自坐骨神经发出后沿股二头肌内 侧走向外下,绕腓骨颈外侧向前,穿腓骨长肌分为腓浅神经和腓深神经。
