胸骨骨折非常罕见，常因暴力直接作用于胸骨区或挤压所致。骨折常发生在靠近胸骨体与胸骨柄连接的胸骨体部，骨折线多为横形，如有移位，下折片向前方移位，其上端重叠在上胸骨片下端，胸骨后的骨膜常保持完整。临床表现为胸骨肿胀、疼痛，可伴有呼吸、循环功能障碍。单纯无移位者以卧床休息、止痛为主，有移位者以手法或手术复位。
