胶剂是指用动物皮、骨、甲、角等为原料，用水煎取胶质，浓缩成干胶状的内服制剂。其主要成分是动物水解蛋白类物质，并加入一定量的糖、油脂、及酒（黄酒）等辅料。一般都切成小方块或长方块。胶剂的制备，一般可分为原料和辅料的选择、原料的处理、煎取胶汁、滤过去渣、澄清、浓缩收胶、凝胶切块、干燥与包装等步骤。
