胆汁性腹膜炎是由各种病因导致胆汁直接流入或外渗入腹膜腔内引起急性或慢性继发性腹膜炎。腹腔内仅有胆汁样液体而无腹膜炎体征者为单纯胆汁性腹水。发病原因主要有：黄疸尤其梗阻性黄疸者做肝穿刺，经皮穿刺肝总管造影（PTC），胆道系统外伤性破裂，胆系手术缝合不严密或肝胆手术后胆管引流不畅，肝脓肿破裂，胆道系统肿瘤，胆囊扭转，急性胆囊炎囊壁充血、水肿、组织破坏，胆石嵌顿致局部缺血、坏死，发生破裂等。
减少术后并发症，特别是拔T管后的胆汁性腹膜炎。
