胃腔 gastral cavity， paragastric cavi- ty，spongocoel 〔1〕是海绵动物体中央的内腔，其壁是胃层。体壁有无数散在的小孔，水流经由小孔进入胃腔，并以上端的大孔排出体外。 〔2〕也指其它后生动物胃的内腔。在这种情况下而不使用胃腔（zoogastre）这一名词。腔肠动物的腔肠大致与此同义。
