胃破裂指外界暴力所致的胃壁完整性破坏。饱食后当腹部受到暴力作用时，由于胃贲门与幽门因反射而关闭，胃内压力突然升高，此时可引起胃破裂。由于充满半流体的胃内容物，压力均衡地向四周扩散，破裂点不-记位于受力处，而常位于胃壁薄弱之点如胃小弯。胃壁若有病变如溃疡、瘢痕或肿瘤等，局部组织变脆弱，更易于破裂。胃破裂后可致急性弥漫性化脓性腹膜炎，如治疗不及时.可在症状出现后1〜2天死于感染中毒性休克。胃破裂若累及较大的血管，iU致失血性休克而死亡。
