肺移植术是用手术方法将同种异体的健康肺植入体内以取代丧失功能的病肺。手术中需要作肺动脉、肺静脉及气管的吻合。除于术前应作好配型外，尚需选择大小比例合适的肺脏。已有短期存活的病例报道。手术的困难之处在于血管吻合技术比较复杂以及术后防治排异反应。由于心肺联合移植的技术比较简单，已有逐渐取代肺移植术的趋势。
