肱骨外髁骨折主要是指肱骨外髁带肱骨小头或肱骨外髁带肱骨小头和部分滑车骨骺的关节内骨折。因其中部分患者仅单纯是肱骨小头骨骺部骨折，故又称为肱骨小头骨骺分离。肱骨外髁骨折比内髁骨折多见，是儿童常见的一种肘关节损伤，多见于5—10岁的儿童，发生率略低于肱骨髁上骨折。肱骨外髁包含非关节面（包括外上髁）和关节面两部分，前臂伸肌群附着于肱骨外髁。肱骨外髁骨折后，由于伸肌群的牵拉，骨折块可发生不同程度的移位。
