肱骨外上髁炎又称“肱桡关节滑囊炎”、“网球肘”。是前臂伸腕肌群的起点部反复受到牵拉刺激，而引起的一种慢性损伤性疾病。桡侧伸腕长肌、短肌、指总伸肌、尺侧伸腕肌及肱桡肌均起于肱骨外上髁处，此肌群的过度牵拉如跌扑挫伤，强力转肘，腕部反复用力过猛、过久或较长时间提携，抛掷重物等，均会引起肱骨外上髁部发炎性病变。主要是桡侧伸腕肌在外上髁附着处受到牵拉性损伤，使关节僵滞、疼痛、功能障碍。本病好发于木工，石匠，泥瓦工，钳工，网球、乒乓球运动员和家庭妇女。
