耳针是指使用短毫针针刺或其他方法刺激耳穴，以诊治疾病的一种方法。耳郭与人体各部存在着一定的生理联系。望耳的形态、色泽可以辅助诊断疾病，刺激耳部穴位可以防治疾病。其治疗范围较广，操作方便，且对疾病的诊断也有一定的参考意义。 运用耳穴诊治疾病历史已相当悠久。早在《灵枢·五邪》篇就有记载：“邪在肝，则两胁中痛……取耳间青脉以去其掣。”唐代《干金要方》有取耳中穴治疗马黄、黄疸、寒暑疫毒等病。历代医学文献也有介绍用针、灸、吸、按摩、耳道塞药、吹药等方法刺激耳郭以防治疾病，以望、触耳郭诊断疾病的记载，并一直为很多医家所应用。为了便于国际间的研究和交流，我国制定了《耳穴名称与部位的国家标准方案》。
