亦称作剪绒，有经起绒和纬起绒两种，经起绒由绒经织成毛圈经割断 后形成耸立在织物表面的绒毛；纬起绒是将部分绒纬的浮长割断后形成绒毛（见起绒组织）。
立绒经处理能防水抗压，有时也可制成提花或压花立绒。
