紧压茶,是以黑毛茶、老青茶、做庄茶及其它适合制毛茶为原料,经过渥堆、蒸、压等典型工艺过程加工而成的砖形或其它形状的茶叶。紧压茶的多数品种比较粗老,干茶色泽黑褐,汤色澄黄或澄红。在少数民族地区非常流行。 紧压茶有防潮性能好,便于运输和储藏,茶味醇厚,适合减肥等特点。
黑茶可直接冲泡饮用,也可以压制成紧压茶(如各种砖茶)。
