在倡导了中国航天的系统工程方法以后，钱学森又提出了创建“系统学”的任务。系统学(Systematology)，是研究系统一般规律的新兴基础科学，简单系统、简单巨系统、复杂巨系统和特殊复杂巨系统(社会系统)是系统学研究的主要内容。
