粮仓，即储藏粮食的专用建筑物。 我国是一个农业大国，粮食的生产及储存具有悠久的历史，根据中国近五十年来大量出土的文物和历史考证，中国原始农业启蒙于旧石器时代晚期，发展于新时期时代（距今约一万年左右）。而粮食的储藏是农业栽培的继续，储藏技术是伴随着农业的发展而发展的。进入新石器时代以后，随着原始农业的发展，农业生产形成了一定的规模，粮食出现了剩余，才逐渐由粮食加工发展到储藏。
