Document of Identity for Visa Purposes, Visa Evidence Card 签证身份书是由一个国家或地区发出的国际旅行证件。如果由一个国家发出，通常是发给居住在该国，但无法领取其他护照或旅行证件的非公民；如果由一个地区（例如香港，澳门等）发出，则通常发给居住在该地区，但无法领取其他护照或旅行证件的非永久性居民。
签证身份书持有人如另行领得护照或其他旅行证件，则本身份书通常将予注销。
