筛板塔又称泡沫塔，该除尘器具有结构简单、维护工作量小、净化效率高、耗水量大、防腐蚀性能好等特点， 常用于气体污染物的吸收，对颗粒污染物也具有很好的捕集效果。它适用于净化亲水性不强的粉尘，如硅石、黠土等，但不能用于石灰、白云石、熟料等水硬性粉尘的净化，以免堵塞筛孔。除尘器流速应控制在2 ～ 3m/s 内，风速过大易产生带水现象，影响除尘效率。泡沫除尘器的除尘效率为90%～ 93%，在泡沫板上加塑料球或卵石等物后，可进一步提高净化效率，但设备阻力增加。
