等厚度线（constant thickness line；isopleth of thickness）是指两等压面间厚度值相等各点的连线。它反映出两个等压面之间气层的平均温度分布清况。等厚度线是在厚度图上所绘的两个给定等压面间大气层厚度相等的线。 分析时除依据厚度记录外，还应利用热成风原则。实际工作中，主要在500hPa 等压面图上分析1000 - 500 hPa的厚度线，在图上可以清楚地反映出厚度平流等情况，供制作天气现报时参考。
