第二职业（dì-èr zhíyè）second occupation 指在职职工在业余时间从事的有经济收入的活动，是20世纪80年代改革开放以来开始流行的词语。当时人们都是干一种工作，“第二职业”是除了工作之外，从事另外一种赚钱的事。其内容大致有：经营服装百货、蔬菜、水产品、包工包活，还有在城市集体企业小厂或乡镇企业兼职、做其他小买卖象花鸟鱼虫，勤工助教——中小学教师的“第二职业”，工人利用业余时间开餐馆，跑出租等，白领利用业余时间做会计、开商铺等也在之列。
