空白背书 (blank endorsement)，是票据的收款人或持有人转让票据时在票据上进行签署的手段。由于一般都在票据的背面进行签署，故称背书。经过背书转让的票据，背书人负有担保票据付款人到期付款的责任。如付款人到期不付款，则背书人有偿付责任。一张票据可以多次背书，多次转让，叫做票据流通，背书分为 “空白背书”、“特别背书” 和“限制背书”。空白背书是背书人在票据上只签名，不写明接受人姓名。
空白背书并不指明被背书人，如此背书之汇票成为付与来人之汇票。
