空气分离,简称空分。是指应用低温冷冻原理从空气中分离出其组分(氧、氮和氩、氦等稀有气体)的过程。一般先将空气压缩,并冷至很低温度,或用膨胀方法使空气液化,再在精馏塔中进行分离。例如当液态空气沸腾时,比较容易挥发的氮(沸点一196℃)先气化,氧则后气化(沸点一183℃)。
