棱皮龟（学名：Dermochelys coriacea），属棱皮龟科、棱皮龟属动物。棱皮龟体大，是龟鳖目中体型最大者，头大，颈、尾短，四肢桨状，无爪，前肢特别发达。 棱皮龟属于变温的爬行动物，游泳迅速且能力极强，杂食性，每年5-6月之间产卵，一次产卵90-150枚，主要栖息于热带海域的中上层，分布于大西洋和太平洋海域。 棱皮龟已列入《世界自然保护联盟》（IUCN）2013年濒危物种红色名录，《濒危野生动植物种国际贸易公约》Ⅰ级保护动物。 （概述图来源： ）
