种植制度亦称“栽培制度”。是在当地自然条件、经济条件、生产条件下，根据作物的生态适应性确定一年或几年内所采用的作物种植体系。包括多熟制、作物的结构与布局、复种与休闲、种植方式 (包括间作、套作、单作、混作)、种植顺序 (轮作、连作)。它是耕作制度的中心。改革耕作制度，往往先从改革种植制度着手。种植制度的制定，要结合国家下达的种植计划，根据现实的自然、经济条件，充分合理地利用农业资源，正确处理好作物与作物间、作物与土壤间的关系，尽量采用先进技术，实行科学种田，用地养地紧密结合，保持良好的农业生态环境，达到稳产高产、年年丰收的目的。
