祁县（qí xiàn）位于山西省中部，古称“昭馀”，因“昭馀祁泽薮”而得名。隶属于山西省晋中市。全县辖6镇2乡（昭馀镇、东观镇、古县镇、贾令镇、城赵镇、来远镇、西六支乡、峪口乡），160个行政村，289个自然村，一个省级开发区。至2013年，全县总面积854平方公里，总人口27万人。 2013年，全县地区生产总值完成58.2亿元，财政收入5.57亿元，城镇居民人均可支配收入23400元，农民人均纯收入11507元。 祁县祁太秧歌、戴氏心意拳被列为国家级非物质文化遗产。
