设在磁感应强度为B的匀强磁场中，有一个面积为S且与磁场方向垂直的平面，磁感应强度B与面积S的乘积，叫做穿过这个平面的磁通量，简称磁通（Magnetic Flux）。标量，符号“Φ”。 在一般情况下，磁通量是通过磁场在曲面面积上的积分定义的。其中，Φ为磁通量，B为磁感应强度，S为曲面，B·dS为点积，dS为无穷小矢量（见曲面积分）。磁通量通常通过通量计进行测量。通量计包括测量线圈以及估计测量线圈上电压变化的电路，从而计算磁通量。
