碾子主要是指用人力或畜力把高粱、谷子、稻子等谷物脱壳或把米碾碎成碴子或面粉的石制工具。这种工具在电气化以前的中国农村很常见。但因为时代的快速发展已经很少用它了。也泛指类似碾轧东西的工具：汽碾子，药碾子等。
