碎裂带亦称“断裂带”，由无定向的的裂口和裂带破坏的岩石带。有主断层面及其两侧破碎岩块以及若干次级断层或破裂面组成的地带。在靠近主断层面附近发育有构造岩，以主断层面附近为轴线向两侧扩散，一般依次出现断层泥或糜棱岩、断层角砾岩、碎裂岩等，再向外即过渡为断层带以外的完整岩石。
