硬骨是指体内最坚硬的结缔组织，在体内主要起支持作用。它由骨细胞和细胞间质构成间质中因含有大约65%的钙盐(主要为磷酸钙、次为碳酸钙等)。所以该组织特别坚硬。间质中的纤维大多密集成束，规则排列成层，各层纤维束被种含有无机盐的物质祜合在一起而形成骨板。
