砂磨sanding：宝石的研磨加工工序。一般粗磨多用铸铁制造的磨盘作为研磨器具，并使用碳化硅等为磨料。磨料的粒度为46～80目。若为细磨和精磨，则常使用压人金刚石微粉的铜磨盘。金刚石微粉的粒级，前者为220～240目，后者用320～600目。宝石经砂磨以后，还要再进行抛光。
