目视解译是遥感图像解译的一种，又称目视判读，或目视判译，是遥感成像的逆过程。它指专业人员通过直接观察或借助辅助判读仪器在遥感图像上获取特定目标地物信息的过程。目视解译是指凭借人的眼睛(也可借助光学仪器)，依靠解译者的知识、经验和掌握的相关资料，通过大脑分析、推理、判断，提取遥感图像中有用的信息。
