白金汉大学（The University of Buckingham）是全英唯一一所私立独立大学，同时也是唯一一所的私立综合性大学，并且有医学院。1976年以白金汉大学学院的名字创立。不同于英国传统的三年制本科，白金汉大学每年授课四个学期，缩短了漫长的暑期，保障了与其他英国大学相比等量的课时量，成功地将本科学位浓缩至两年。学生不仅节省了一年的生活开销，又能早一年步入职场，或者继续攻读更高的学位。
