疳积以神萎、面黄肌瘦、毛发焦枯、肚大筋露、纳呆便溏为主要表现的儿科病证。多见于1～5岁儿童。 疳积多因饮食不节，乳食喂养不当，损伤脾胃，运化失职，营养不足，气血精微不能濡养脏腑；或因慢性腹泻、慢性痢疾、肠道寄生虫等病，经久不愈，损伤脾胃等引起。
