疔疮是好发于颜面和手足部的外科疾患。本病开始有粟米样小脓头，发病迅速，根深坚硬如钉为特征。因发病部位和形状不同，而有“人中疔”、“虎口疔”、“红丝疔”等名称。现代医学的“疖”属本病范畴。疔疮初起切忌挤压、挑刺，患部不宜针刺，红肿发硬时忌手术切开，以免引起感染扩散。疔疮走黄症情凶险，须及时抢救，疔疮如已成脓，应施行外科处理。
