局部表现为红、肿、热、痛，呈小结节，并可逐渐增大，呈锥形隆起。继而中央变软，出现白色小脓栓。 颜面部疔疮是指发生在颜面部的急性化脓性疾病。相当于颜面部疖、痈。其特征是疮形如粟，坚硬根深，状如钉丁之状。该病病情变化迅速，易成走黄危证。颜面部疔疮由于发生部位不同，名称各异。如生在眉心的，叫眉心疔；生在眼胞的，叫跟胞疔；生在鼻部的，叫鼻疔；生在迎香穴的叫迎香疔；生在人中的，叫人中疔；生在人中两旁的，叫虎须疔；生在口角的，叫锁口疔；生在唇部的，叫唇疔；生在颏部的，叫承浆疔；生在地角穴的，叫地角疔等。
