畸形中央尖、畸形舌侧窝、畸形舌侧尖、牙中牙，同属于牙齿形态异常（畸形牙）。畸形中央尖多见于黄种人，上下颌双尖牙均可发生。以下颌第二双尖牙更为多见，呈对称性发生，有时全部双尖牙都可发生。据报道发病率约2%。畸形舌侧窝、舌侧尖和牙中牙统称为牙内陷。多见于上颌侧切牙，偶见中切牙，呈对称性发生。其发生率与遗传有关。畸形舌侧窝是牙内陷中最轻的一种；畸形舌侧尖（指状舌尖）有时表现为小结节状隆起。牙中牙是牙内陷最严重的一种，牙齿呈园锥状。
